John McWhorter: texting is killing language
Texting
is miraculous thing, Seeing back
what language is. Language has existed perhaps 150 thousand years ago. At the
time people do speak instead of writing. texting is not writing at all. Writing is
something that came along much later. First there’s speech then writing comes
along. Base on history, there is natural relation between speech and writing
such as when we listen a speech basically talk like writing. Texting is very low
structure, no one think about punctuation capital letter. And other something
wrong with texting such as using of LOL (laughing out lout), most of people use
because it’s a new trend among people today.
