MAN Meulaboh-I is an islamic school that takes place at Sisingamangaraja street number one, at the center of Meulaboh city. Before it was standing, at this location in 70’s era was standing too an islamic school but with different name, PGA (Pendidikan Guru Agama) and MAN Meulaboh was standing at Kuta Padang. In 90’s era to 2004, MAN Meulaboh-I took place at two location, Sisingamangaraja street and Kuta Padang. At these times, MAN had a boarding school only for women students, which called MAKN, but it closed about three years before I came.
In 2011, when I studied, MAN opened a new program- boarding school for man and woman student, and until now MAN has two program; regular and boarding. For regular, the classes divided into science class and social class at second ant third grade, while boarding just has two classes- A class for man and B class for women for all grades. Recently, I get information that MAN now has 26 classes; 9 classes for first grade (2 classes boarding, 7 classes regular), 10 classes for second grade (2 classes boarding, 8 classes regular (5 science classes, 3 social classes)), 7 classes for third grade (2 classes boarding, 5 regular (3 science classes, 2 social classes)).
Teaching learning be held at 08.00 AM – 13.45 PM. At 07.45, the gate is closed then all students recite al-quran together in the yard before enter the class, and for late students, they will be get punishment. After teaching learning time is over, the students will be continue with extracurricular; marching band Gita Bahana Praja (MB GBP), scout, PASKIBRAKA, sport, taekwondo, traditional dance and custum (only woman). Every Monday and Friday we always do ceremony, for Friday scout ceremony. During Mr. Suhadi (about 8 years) become headmaster of MAN, student development prefer leaning in extracurricular, like MB GBP that won several turnaments. Based on my experience in 2012, when my friends and I followed OSN represent school to region and province, there’s no course from school to support our competition, from this situation we can say that this school prefer leaning in extracurricular program. Eventhough, the students that follow science competition we always do the best and get several achievments. In addition, student’s organization as facilitator for student development is developed, such as OSIM, PIK KRR Asy-Syifa (counseling), PMR and IKAMSA (Alumni unity). Every year, MAN does several big agenda such as; Maulid, graduation day, iftar and others else.
MAN has sufficed facility to support all students’ activity such as classrooms, auditorium, mushalla, volley and basket field, laboratory, dormitory (for boarding), parking area, library, and canteens. Not only these, MAN has sufficed teacher too, almost for all subjects have senior teacher. For instructional media, MAN still use white board and sometime for certain subject the teacher use infocus. The information that recently I get, MAN use two curriculum- KTSP for general subjects and K 13 for religion subjects.
We have four uniforms, white blue for Monday and Tuesday, batik for Wednesday and Thursday, scout uniform for Friday and Saturday, and sport uniform for sport activity. In this written I prefer explain about regular program because I was student in this program in MAN, while boarding I know a little.

Don't insist on English!

Patricia Ryan: Don’t insist on English! The speaker talks about language loss and the globalization   of English. She tell a story about her friends who was teaching English for adult in Abu Dhabi, one day she took them to learning some nature vocabularies, but she ended up her class, because all named in arabics word for local plants. How the student get all knowledge about it? of course from their grandparents, they preserved it. but today languages are dying every 14 days. She recruited by British council to teach English in Kuwait, because the government wanted to modernize the country and empower the citizens through education. Today, she see the morphed of teaching english, from being a mutual benificial practice to becoming massive international business. The best educations are the university in U.K and U.S. naturally, everyrbody wants to have English education, but if we not native speaker we have to pass a test. Who I am!

Who I am! I think hard to define the title above, it’s no theory from expert can be pictured me maybe they will say I’m a human having complete body, thought and almost can do all daily activities   well. If I ask to my parents, of course they will say I’m their daughter. Friends and colleague must confess that I am one of their friends. But I have another side to see who I am. I’m just an ordinary girl from ordinary family in ordinary world. Almost sixteen years I have been doing the same thing; going to school and campus, doing   assignment, getting score every semester and I will end it next year (InsyaAllah). Taking master degree? I have to think again. When I was child, the question “what do you want to be in the future?” became so familiar. I used to lose idea to imagine what I wanna be later and my friends said that they wanna be doctor. I tried to imagine me as a doctor, but there were no picture in my brain. Yes, I didn’t want to be doctor; it was hard to see blood

Teachnology-Internet Media PART 2

A.     Discussion There are a large number of online tools that can be used for second/foreign language learning and teaching (Chapelle & Jamieson, 2008; Garrett, 2009; Godwin-Jones, 2009, 2010; Levy, 2009; Meskill & Anthony, 2010; Warschauer, 2010). Internet-based language instruction (IBLI) can be defined as language teaching conducted on the Internet using Internet tools and resources (Son, 2004). According to Son (2001), the online tools are classified into twelve categories based on their main functions and features: learning/content management systems; communication; live and virtual worlds; social networking and bookmarking; blogs and wikis; presentation; resource sharing; Website creation; Web exercise creation; Web search engines; dictionaries and concordancers; and utilities. Mindomo included utilities that can be useful for language learning activities, especially for writing. It’s free access, just need log in with our own email. This media ca
