Printed media and internert base media in ENglish learning-teaching

     Printed text (Newspaper)

There are several types of printed text media such as poster, brochure, magazine, newspaper, comic, text book and other else. My media is newspaper that I got from Jakarta Post. This news, I use for learning report text base on KD 3.4 of third grade Junior High School. First thing that the students should do are finding difficult vocabulary, then they should find the structure of this news. This media as supporting in teaching learning report text, with giving the real news from newspaper their learning must be more effective.

     Computer software (internet base)

In this topic, I use Canva as a media. Canva is online application to make simple designs, it can be to design poster, invitation card, graph, info graphic, advertisement, announcement and also presentation. Designing with Canva will make the students more creative because canva has features that can be used to make our design more interesting. Using Canva must be online, so teacher plans this instructional base on project base. Teacher will divide three students into a group, and give them two weeks to do this project. These are steps how teacher implements this media.

First, teacher shows students the example designed from Canva.
Second, teacher demonstrates how to use the media directly with using projector.
Third, after all students understand how to operate the media, the teacher gives topic for each group to design a poster about procedure text and they do this project about 2 weeks. The product will put in the classroom or library as a information poster.
The aims of this instructional media are teacher make students more creative, involve students to use internet for learning, and can product something useful.

MINI RESEARCH PART 2

A.            Result and Discussion As Nguyen Ngoan stated in his article “ listening to VOA: advantages, problems and solutions” the students have to face these three problems. First of all, the students find it hard to understand proper names as they have never heard about it before. In other words, they have no background knowledge about what they are listening. The second problem is believed to rise from the unfamiliar, uninteresting and too long listening which makes the students feel strange, discouraged and bored of what they are hearing. The last one is assumed to be about the sound connections and intonation spoken by native speakers with different accents. The researcher has interview 7 students from unit 6 with some questions, these are the result of information and has analyzed by researcher. The way student study by their own and the strategies will help them to get over   and success in listening: from the...

Technology-Internet Media

TECHNOLOGY-INTERNET MEDIA WWW.MINDOMO.COM Santi Rahmadani (140203028) A.     Introduction The term instructional media has been defined in a variety of ways. In some cases, it refers to all aids that are used by the teacher and students. In other cases, it refers only to printed media. This definition is close to a broader definition such as that of Romiszowski (1981: 339) which includes not only electronic communications media, but also such devices as slides, photographs, teacher-made diagrams, charts, real objects and handouts that we use in the process of planned instruction. A key feature of effective teaching is the selection of instructional materials that meet the needs of students and fit the constraints of the teaching and learning environment. Instructional resources usually fall into one of two categories: student-centered and teacher-centered. In the student-centered model, instructional resources can be used for tutorials, problem solving, ...
