Shao Lan: Learn to read Chinese with ease!

ShaoLan’s mother was a calligrapher that showed her the form of Chinese character. She was fascinated by the incredible language. she started thinking about a new method of learning Chinese in order people to understand and appreciate the sophisticated language.
The Chinese scholar would understand 20,000 characters, 1000 to understand the basic literacy, 200 to allow us to comprehend 40% basic literacy such as reading road signs, restaurant menu. In that video she starts with 8 characters.
First shape we called mouth, its shape like the mouth opens widely until it’s square.
Second shape is person, a character like a person walks.
Third shape is fire, appears like a person with two arms- left and right.
Fourth shape is tree, which has branches like tree.
Fifth shape is mountain, which has three vertical lines that form a mountain.
Sixth shape is sun, which have two square.
Seventh shape is moon, which have two square but it is smaller than sun.
The last is symbol of the door, that look like pair saloon door.
With eight character above we can create more characters. Such as person symbol, if there are two symbol of person (beside), it means ‘follow’ (another person follow you, so he or she must be beside you). If tree symbols are two together, it means woods, if three trees mean forest. Two fire symbols together  mean hot, three fires mean flame, fire symbol underneath tree symbol it means burning.
With learning 8 characters above our learning has comprehend about 32 characters. Then, trying to make phrases, for example: the fire and the mountain symbol we put together so we call volcano.

MINI RESEARCH PART 2

A.            Result and Discussion As Nguyen Ngoan stated in his article “ listening to VOA: advantages, problems and solutions” the students have to face these three problems. First of all, the students find it hard to understand proper names as they have never heard about it before. In other words, they have no background knowledge about what they are listening. The second problem is believed to rise from the unfamiliar, uninteresting and too long listening which makes the students feel strange, discouraged and bored of what they are hearing. The last one is assumed to be about the sound connections and intonation spoken by native speakers with different accents. The researcher has interview 7 students from unit 6 with some questions, these are the result of information and has analyzed by researcher. The way student study by their own and the strategies will help them to get over   and success in listening: from the...

Technology-Internet Media

TECHNOLOGY-INTERNET MEDIA WWW.MINDOMO.COM Santi Rahmadani (140203028) A.     Introduction The term instructional media has been defined in a variety of ways. In some cases, it refers to all aids that are used by the teacher and students. In other cases, it refers only to printed media. This definition is close to a broader definition such as that of Romiszowski (1981: 339) which includes not only electronic communications media, but also such devices as slides, photographs, teacher-made diagrams, charts, real objects and handouts that we use in the process of planned instruction. A key feature of effective teaching is the selection of instructional materials that meet the needs of students and fit the constraints of the teaching and learning environment. Instructional resources usually fall into one of two categories: student-centered and teacher-centered. In the student-centered model, instructional resources can be used for tutorials, problem solving, ...
